Lots of stuff is happiness causing today:
Mason’s Lacrosse Camp
After he told me he hadn’t learned a thing today, he spent the next 20 minutes teaching Cutter and I everything he’d learned. It’s so cool to watch your kid get excited about something.
Bowman
Butters
Butters didn’t die today when she ate the grapes that Mason left sitting out. Instead, she got a hit of hydrogen peroxide and barfed up all the grapes in a big, foamy mess. Also found in the mess was a peach pit and a substantial amount of red legos.
Garden
My newest salmon colored cone flower.
This awesome photo of a sea lion that I took at the PDX Zoo, and Bowman believes looks like “the devil”.
Also? Meeting friends at the pool for a card game, adult beverages and snacks, while the kids all splash around together. Makes you feel good.

Isabelle has a cabbage in the 3rd grade? Who knew veggies could be so smart!?!
When are you coming Westside for a visit?
Comment by T July 29, 2009 @ 9:51 pmT-We’re VERY advanced here at Chez Star! Actually, it’s some sort of contest where the schools send home a plant in the spring and some 3rd grader somewhere in ID will win $1,000 for the biggest cabbage the next fall. Not sure exactly what it’s about or why, but it looks nice in our garden and will make one hell of a big bowl of coleslaw at some point!
