Alright, alright, settle down. I haven’t shut down the blog. You can all just quit it with the guilt inducing emails, and you know who you are (Ms. I’ve got a comma in my name). I’ve been off the radar for a while, but I am now back. Let’s have a cup of coffee, a group hug, and a catch up.
So, initially, I was knocked off line when I hosed my net book with a nasty virus. To some of you, this may seem weird, because you know I’m married to one of those super handy computer guys. Has Davie-O gone soft? Nah, his computer skills are still top notch, I just find ways to outsmart him. What seems to happen about twice a year is that despite his every effort and an expensive anti virus program, I am still enough of a technotard to completely infect and destroy my machine. I am his technological cross to bear…..
Then I made a bunch of Halloween costumes. This year Bowman reran the awesome Dracula cape from last year, which he nicely paired with a green turtle neck, black dress slacks, and skater shoes. Cutter was the MSN butterfly guy from the early 90’s, Mason was Mr. Rogers, and Isabelle was Pipi Longstocking. And now that I’m looking at this I realize that I didn’t so much actually MAKE costumes as put them together. But, we all know the putting together of things can be really, really time consuming.
While Davie-O was taking the kids trick or treating in their awesomely put together costumes, I was in Seattle at the 40th birthday party of a very dear friend. And I am here to tell you, there is nothing better than a 40th birthday party for a gay man on Halloween. Oh, honey, the costumes were FABULOUS!
And then all the kids got a watered down version of The Swine.
After that, the ma-in-law came to visit for a week. And I participated in my first holiday bazaar.
I cancelled my awesome groupie trip because my house would have imploded had I gone. I attended the Electric Six concert here in Boise and the Everclear show.
THEN, Davie-O went to LA/Palm Springs for 8 gloriously technical days.
Followed by my parents showing up for the week of Thanksgiving.
On Sunday I will be in another holiday bazaar, and a third bazaar the following Saturday. So,(shameless plug) if you think you may need a reversible baby bib, a custom hobby horse, holiday coasters or a ginormous washable checkers game, let me know.
There. Now we’re all caught up and we can get on with the good stuff.
I LOVE this song. Because it so very closely mirrors a lot of people in my life.
For Your Listening Pleasure…..

Well okay I guess that works as an excuse. It sounds a lot better than the ones I use. And I completely agree gay + Halloween OMG!!! I was in The Village for a couple Halloweens and I will NEVER be able to match that costume experience. Glad to see you’re back!
Comment by boisecommaidaho December 3, 2009 @ 7:54 amIt’s about damn time girl! I was getting worried.
Comment by tallulah December 3, 2009 @ 7:12 pmI could use a few bibs (for others’ kids, I’d like to point out). What’re you charging for ‘em?
Also, tell Mr. Olsson I said ‘hi’ next time you talk to him, please!
